For more than 170 years Goodwood has been a hub of community gatherings and connection. In recent years the Goodwood Road Business Association has held events for the community including Christmas markets, the ‘Goodwood Groove’ and SALA - Alive and Vibrant on Goodwood Road, celebrating the annual South Australian Living Artists Festival.

Adelaide Event & Exhibition Centre at the Adelaide Showgrounds
Adelaide's largest multi-purpose venue is on the door step of Goodwood and hosts some of the State’s leading world-class events. Along with a host of events, amongst the biggest are the Royal Adelaide Show, and the prestigious Royal Adelaide Wine Show. Adelaide Farmers Market Showground
Established in 2006 our local Farmers Market is the largest of its kind in South Australia. A not-for-profit organisation, the market brings up to 5,000 visitors each Sunday into the community and provides a diverse range of produce from small family farms. Visit on Sunday’s between 9am and 1pm.
Situated at 101 Goodwood Road, the Goodwood Library welcomes all community members and offers services and support in Family History; Home Library Service; Business Resource Collection; Internet Access and Training and Multicultural Services. The library is open Monday: 10.30 - 5pm; Tuesday: 10am - 6pm; Wednesday: 1pm - 5pm; Thursday: 10am - 6pm; Friday: 10am - 5pm; and Saturday: 10am - 1pm.
Goodwood Community Centre
Managed by Goodwood Community Services, the Goodwood Community Centre is a hub for the local community offering a wide array of events and services for people of all ages and abilities. Children’s activities include Goodygym, Playgroup and a Toy Library. In addition the centre hosts community information sessions, community events, Greek and Filipino Home and Community Care programs and has venue hire facilities.
Unley Swimming Centre
Located in neighbouring Forestville the Unley Swimming Centre is an asset to the local area offering Group swimming lessons from babies (6 months) to adults; Private swimming lessons; Aqua Aerobics; Yoga and Birthday Parties. Whether you want to stay cool or keep fit during the summer, the community pool is a perfect choice.
Goodwood Oval & Playground
Join one of the sporting clubs that call Goodwood Oval home, or simply visit and play in the Goodwood Playground.
